Dr Lesley Murphy
Dr Lesley Murphy is a Registered Clinical Psychologist working as a Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist. She has worked with people with neurological disorders for over 40 years.
She has worked in both NHS and specialist services, including the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability, a specialist hospital for very severely brain-injured patients. Dr Murphy has also worked in a Community Neurorehabilitation team, she was the clinical lead of a vocational brain injury rehabilitation programme and was a visiting Consultant for a Brain Injury Service in the West of Ireland.
Dr Murphy is a Registered Clinical Psychologist and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and holds a current Clinical Psychology Practising Certificate.
She is a member of the BPS Division of Neuropsychology. She is the author of a number of journal articles in the field of Neuropsychology and is actively involved in research in developing assessment methods for people with disorders of consciousness. She is the author of the Cognitive Assessment by Visual Election (CAVE), an assessment tool for those emerging from disorders of consciousness.
